Joshua 'MckNasty' McKenzie is a drummer and DJ from London, UK. When Kamaal Williams and Yussef Dayes (Yussef Kamaal) went their separate ways, Kamaal (AKA Henry Wu) enlisted MckNasty as his new drummer. Josh has also played with New Sector Movements/IG Culture, Amp Fiddler, Robert Glasper, Kojey Radical and Keziah Jones. He also hosts the Fireball Sessions live events and was a finalist on Britain's Got Talent drumming and DJing at the same time.
Recreating the energy that pulled this family of 9 siblings into music, Sundown features MckNasty's 4 sisters on vocals, the first singers he accompanied in the backroom of their childhood hackney home. This song is a testament to deep connection, forgiveness and enduring love. The Mac SiStar's blend in a way only sisters can, and bring the extra lift to the already uplifting rare groove vibe. The Zulu lyrics beckoning you draw closer, inspired by the full embrace of the family he made on his travels to South Africa, a place he considers his second home.
