about
Dean Zepherin AKA Zepherin Saint is a producer and DJ born and raised in London, then residing in Berlin, and now based in Melbourne. He is best known for house, but draws heavily on his soul, funk, jazz and Caribbean roots. His productions have appeared on top labels like Defected, Suol, No Fuss, Soul 2 Soul, Vega, Jack Trax and of course his own Tribe Records.
Paying tribute to the Orisha’s Elegua and Chango, Zepherin Saint collaborates on this occasion with New York Vocalist Amma Whatt. Inspired by the traditional Yoruba Oriki (Yoruba Praise Poetry) Zepherin and Whatt wanted to honour the Orisha and their African heritage in their own contemporary way.
